Rev. Kline will reflect on Montreal City Mission’s 110 years of welcoming the stranger in our midst and its most recent programs, including a mask initiative that the women in their refugee sewing collective began at the beginning of the pandemic. They have distributed over 1,000 masks thus far to front-line organizations Chez Doris and St. Michael’s Mission in downtown Montreal as well as a women’s organization in Montreal-Nord.
December 6 is the 31st anniversary of the tragedy at the Polytechnique, the engineering school affiliated with UdeM. We will honour the women who lost their lives, and Rev. Kline will reflect on how this event impacted her and her community and the progress they have made since then.
