There are many ways in which we can or cannot feel at home in the milieu where we live. We all have roots or origins in some particular place, but life may call us to another place. What makes it possible for us to belong in the new place?
Our three speakers this morning, Patience, Paul and Rob, respectively children of Nigeria, the USA, and New Brunswick, will share their own stories of coming to belong to this community as it is here and now.
Patience, for one, notes: ‘’ … we came to Canada as orphans who never knew where and what to expect from a new country like Canada … but to our great surprise to find that God was waiting for us through the congregation of LUUC, where we now BELONG TO AS ONE FAMILY.’’
