Milda is in her third year in Religious Studies at McGill with classes on Zoom, with a focus on the traditions of South Asia and Sanskrit translation.
On this, the World Religion’s Day, we’ll look at a phenomenon that inspires and uplifts worldwide. Arising from the hearts of sages and saints, devotional poetry shares transcendent insights and experiences in verse and often song.
We will explore and contemplate the words of the first Buddhist nuns and those of the bhakti poet-saints of India.
