Merry, Happy …. Whatever
Unpacking the meaning of the holidays can be quite the endeavour

A time of great joy and giving
But also a time of sadness
Bringing realization to what feels missing

For Christians, it is a sacred time of year
With the story of the virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus held true and dear

Amongst different religions, beliefs and traditions
That for others may hold sway
These moments together we refer to simply as the holidays

In this moment, we celebrate all that is held true
Across all communities
With love
With you
