Date(s) - 17/10/2020
18:30 - 20:30

Location: ON ZOOM this year for its 35th Anniversary

Child Haven International, founded by Rev. Fred and Bonnie Cappuccino, consists of a series of centres for poor children and women in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Tibet (China).  There are nine homes in all housing over 1,000 children, as well as workshops to teach tailoring and other marketable skills to destitute women.

Because of Covid, we can’t have the event in a Hall, with a catered dinner – BUT

  • We will have Bonnie, Fred and Robin there (on our screens)

  • We will have musical entertainment, and maybe even see some of the Child Haven youth dancing

  • We will be given a virtual tour of the Child Haven Homes

  • We will hear about, and from, some of the children

  • We will honour Montrealers who volunteered or visited Child Haven Homes

  • We recommend that you enjoy a take out meal while attending – from Sahib Restaurant in Pointe Claire ( if possible, or from your favourite local restaurant that has been challenged in Covid times…

  • We will also hold a group fundraiser to celebrate our 25th Montreal event, and Child Haven’s 35th anniversary to cover some of the special items on Child Haven’s Needs List

  • How does this fundraiser work?

Buy a ticket (a virtual one – or many) online at

Please consider our usual ticket cost of $45 per person + what you might have spent on wine or beer + what you might have brought for Eastern Bazaar purchases – and DONATE that total – AND a tax receipt for 100% of your donation!

Once you have donated to Child Haven online, you will receive an email with the Zoom invitation link for attending on October 17. Be sure to register (by donating for your “ticket”) by October 15, 2020 so you will receive your invitation link on time!

We hope you will share the information about this event with your family and friends – even ones who don’t live in Montreal can join us for this special evening!

We will enjoy a wonderful evening in return, while helping Child Haven as it continues to care for, and support, the hundreds of children in its care.
