Barbara Diabo is an award-winning choreographer and dancer originally from Kahnawake. She is the Artistic Director of A’nó:wara Dance Theatre. She will be performing hoop dances, a form of storytelling through dance. An Indigenous hoop dancer uses hoops to create shapes as one moves to music. She was one of eight hoop dancers across North America invited to perform at the Gathering of Nations in New Mexico, the world’s largest Pow Wow in their first ever hoop competition that took place in 2015. She has performed more recently at the Place des Arts and Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, as well as other venues across Canada and the United States.

Entry fee of $5. No refreshments however.
