Women – Bold and Brave

This service led by Sheila and Heather FF will celebrate women whose passion and convictions led to taking bold risks for what they were determined to do.  Rev. Heather Fraser Fawcett will share the story of Mary Ann Hayden Church in the early 1800s.  She was a risk-taker; her determination to share her belief in universal grace and salvation put her at odds with many of her fellow Ontario citizens.  In spite of the opposition and alienation she faced, she persevere and became a Universalist minister, and a UU heroine worthy of celebration.

Was there an inspiring, risk-taking woman in your life – one who you would like to celebrate?  We will have time to share those stories too.
